SYNDR is a 4-piece Modern Death Metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden with roots in Melodic Death Metal. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses hard hitting riffs, aggressive drums and bass with lyrics that reflects the melancholy that is long swedish winters. 

SYNDR has been awarded “Live act of the year 2025” from the Swedish culture organisation Studiefrämjandet. SYNDR also performed at Wacken Metal Battle finals in Stockholm, Sweden at Marshall HQ.

SYNDR began their journey with Jesper writing the EP title song Limbo and sending it to Isak to write and record some drums. A couple of days passed until Isak replied to Jesper and said “So.. When are we starting this band?". This lit the spark to search for band members.  

Jesper and Isak got in touch with Marcus. Being friends long before SYNDR came to be, made Marcus an obvious choice as a band member. Marcus had already been playing a part of the music as a “shadow producer" helping to shape the sound even before joining. 

With the departure of the original lead guitar player Mitchell Colbert, SYNDR is now in search of their forth member. Up until then, they are accompanied by guitarist Rasmus Edström.

DIY BANd

We are a DIY band that both produce, record, mix and master our own music. We print most of our own merch. And edit most of our own videos. We are a part of every little detail that is SYNDR. 

We're not affiliated or sponsored by any companies yet. And we're not a part of any label.

Future plans 

Our debut album that is to be released in 2026 is in the final stages of mix and master and we're also story boarding and planning our music videos that will be released together with our album and singles.

We have a couple of festival shows TBA for 2026 and more in the pipeline.
